Antiques and Avarice is a cozy night of reading.
I thoroughly enjoyed Antiques and Avarice by Jane Firebaugh. The main character, Olivia McKenna, is a spunky antiques dealer who finds a dead body. This makes her a suspect and a target. Det. Lt. Josh Abrams helps keep her safe as he investigates. She is a get-it-done kind of woman. He is laid-back and relaxed. I like that they are pet lovers, help others in their community, and enjoy cooking. (Reading the food descriptions made me hungry!)
As they fall in love, their blooming romance keeps the story on the light side. A very good mystery; the suspense keeps going as Olivia is attacked and stalked. Her eye for detail and their furry friends help them solve the case. I was pulled into their world and didn’t want to put it down.
I have high hopes that the author pairs up Abby and Tiny in a future book in this series!
Olivia McKenna is a young woman with a passion for antiques and a penchant for mystery.
Owning her own little antique finding business is just enough to keep her and her Golden Retriever, Molly fed, housed and happy.
While shopping for antiques in a quaint little store, she discovers a body and becomes embroiled in a murder investigation, soon finding herself the victim of a stalker.
The investigation is being handled by a handsome State Police Detective named Josh Abrams. Josh and Olivia feel an immediate connection and attraction.
Can she and Josh discover who is after her before they wind up in more trouble than they can handle?
